Ever since I can remember I dreamt of being a designer and I feel so lucky that my dream came true.
When I was 21 I moved to London and got my first job in magazines and I never looked back. I even got to live in Madrid in my late 20’s and design the launch issue of Cosmopolitan! I travelled the world art directing photo shoots and I had the opportunity to design and redesign some wonderful magazines and catalogues. I feel blessed to be working at a job I love, and to be honest it never really feels like work.
10 years ago I left my 9 to 5 (although it was nearer to 9 - 7 most days) as a Creative Director in London and moved to Dorset to live a calmer, more relaxed life. I took a few years off before deciding I missed design. I decided to retrain in web design and I’m so glad I did as I’ve found a new passion. One that combines my love of design with my love of organisation of information, branding and marketing. I also like to write, and being a one-woman-design-band gives me the opportunity to do it all.
I have a broad knowledge of design, publishing and marketing and have worked across a wide range of consumer and retail magazines, catalogues, brochures, advertorials and websites. I also have extensive experience on launches, redesigns, pitches and new project development and taking and writing briefs. I’ve art directed hundreds of photo shoots, including fashion, beauty, homes, still-life, lifestyle, food and children. All of this means I am comfortable tackling any subject, from roofing, holistic therapies to architecture and photography.
I also manage some of my client's social media. This includes creating newsletters that reflect their brand and tone of voice to overseeing their Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest pages.
I’m approachable, friendly, flexible and proactive and I’m able to take on board changing objectives and come up with hard-working solutions.
